Rocker Cover Gasket Leaks from Toyotas

Toyota Corolla and Rav4, around the 2008 Era, have been known in the past, like many cars, to leak from the rocker/tappet cover gasket. Often times, on these earlier models, replacement of the gasket only, may result in further leaks.
Due to perishing and a break down of the aluminium in the cover it self, it causes these covers to blister and begin to leak. Ensure your mechanic checks the condition of the actual cover prior to replacing the gasket to ensure longevity and preventing oil leaks from that location in the future!
