The coolant mixture in your engine is designed to cool and lubricate internal components in the engine. Without coolant, your vehicle will soon overheat and damage internal components resulting in costly repairs.

Adding additional different coolant (regardless of the colour and type) to top up the cooling system in-between services, may cause a chemical reaction and cause the coolant to turn gelatinous, overheating and potentially damaging your vehicle's engine.

Ensure you only ever top the cooling system with a small amount of distilled water. At each service, ensure your mechanic is carrying out tests of the coolant to measure its water concentration and quality. If the test fails... Cooling system flush is required.
